SDR tranceiver

SDR for ham radio is growth to recommend in shack. I have a peaberrySDR and home-brew SDR HF receiver. Now I try do a build my own design. target is for using in VHF band that is for moon bounce experiment. 

Homemade AZ/EL Ratator controller.

I will design a AZ/EL rotator controoler to use for test communicate in moon bounce 。This design refer.../sv1bsx/actuator/actuator.html in first step.

This is design follow from web to pattern PCB. In actual I use universal PCB to make prototype. Then Pattern PCB evaluate from prototype.

In the box has a transformer. The transformer carrier out 4 Kind of voltage (33、24、12、and 6V）。　I use 33 and 24 to supplied the motor. And 12 DCV for supplied control board. Actuator need 33Vdc　to　supplied　and　Washer motor need 12Vdc to supplied.

The meter for indrcated portion of　antenna。I used 10mA meter and　modify　display　change the scale to AZ and EL degree meter.
Next step I modify actuator later.

Low noise amplifier

Now introduce a low noise amplifier is a project. The project build for operate in Earth-Moon-Earth mode. It's use MMIC for amplifier the weak signal. MAX2611 is my selection. This IC has gain ~18dB at 144 MHz. In circuit is a simple design follow as data-sheet. Using an capacitor to filter Input and Output signal as I need to amplify. Until I measure, I think to do the redesign a circuit again. When I finish hope a improve a received weak signal from the moon.

Complete set up new antenna for EME

actually I'm not install the rotator. It's next project.

Remove current antenna 8el x 2stacks

Add 3m.aluminum pipe for extend the pole. Then set the 3m.horizontal boom. I use door hinge for set this antenna can upsweep.

Final setup stack 4x7el with 2.85m.horizontal and 3m.vertical. In the center use power splitter for connect to coaxcial cord to my rig.
