Homemade AZ/EL Ratator controller.

I will design a AZ/EL rotator controoler to use for test communicate in moon bounce 。This design refer.../sv1bsx/actuator/actuator.html in first step.

This is design follow from web to pattern PCB. In actual I use universal PCB to make prototype. Then Pattern PCB evaluate from prototype.

In the box has a transformer. The transformer carrier out 4 Kind of voltage (33、24、12、and 6V）。　I use 33 and 24 to supplied the motor. And 12 DCV for supplied control board. Actuator need 33Vdc　to　supplied　and　Washer motor need 12Vdc to supplied.

The meter for indrcated portion of　antenna。I used 10mA meter and　modify　display　change the scale to AZ and EL degree meter.
Next step I modify actuator later.

Calculating Power (dBm and mW) from Peak-to-Peak Voltage

5VDC/33VDC converter.

I will propose DC/DC converter. for increase 5 VDC to High Voltage 33V. In circuit use 74HC04 Hex inverter rise to 50 V then to 2 zener diode 33V to protect and output High voltage 33 VDC.
A Project can use to supply the circuit using 33 VDC. Example TV tuner or VCR.
Next I'm measuring a signal in circuit...!

ISS school contact

Hear the sound from International Space Station. Today ISS school contact's schedule to contact to school in Malaysia. I'm set up my shack to listen on 145.800MHz with Icom 2200-T and 2 x dipole antenna. And second mobile with Omni Antenna for spare. Use HRD satelite Tracking for monitor. and live steaming to my channel (see the recorded as below)
From ISS is very loud and clear but some station in my country make a noise. So It's very good to hear

Low noise amplifier

Now introduce a low noise amplifier is a project. The project build for operate in Earth-Moon-Earth mode. It's use MMIC for amplifier the weak signal. MAX2611 is my selection. This IC has gain ~18dB at 144 MHz. In circuit is a simple design follow as data-sheet. Using an capacitor to filter Input and Output signal as I need to amplify. Until I measure, I think to do the redesign a circuit again. When I finish hope a improve a received weak signal from the moon.

Update L/C meter

After find more component for building the L/C meter design by VK3BHR. It can run until programed to MCU. Then supply 9VDC to board and adjust the Voltage for supply a contrast of display. I found the display has indicate "CALRIB", the program has running but its dos't continue to start. After problem occur I check the board what is wrong? Guess the problem is a relay pin isn't correct. I must go to shop again for get correct part for repair.

Many projects doesn't completed. Now I have time to continues making project. Ha! What better to select first doing project. Let's doing now. ♪( ´θ｀)ノ

New PC for my station.

Setup New computer in my station. I brought at second hand shop. ฿900 for spec P4-2.4 Ghz and RAM 521 Mb except Hard drive and CD-ROM but don't worry I have 2 items in my home.

First install Ubuntu 8.04 with EMC2. This package setting for control Mini CNC project. May I aad more one for APRS digipeater.
Next find the software and learning to use the Linux system. Little understand for me.

Recheck old school Power Supply

Re-Checking my old school power supply HTC-5 from Elcom Research.

last weekend I changedbattery of my car. Old battery don't fail stored energy.I get come to my home and I have idea to make backup the power of my station.

The power supply is good condition to supply 12V (on check 11.98V)

actual power supply should be output at 13.8V for re-charge the battery.
OK next job to improve them.

Learning new application for design pcb

This website easy to deliver to me and very cheap a deliver cost.
On e-bay sometime in Thailand may have more deliver cost. When I need order a little quantity, one or two parts is small side it has pay same big part.

In the website introduce the program for make schematics and PCB pattern.
I interest to try using its.

Current I use the Protel to make but it a big software for my old laptop.

May do better for my hobby.
