Try using spot cluster on Iphone

Normally I use a spot-cluster by connect with Hyperlink Terminal software or Ham Radio Deluxe. But sometime I will go outside my station and make contact in portable. If I'm not keep a laptop in portable station I can connect cluster by Iphone.

First find a software in AppStore for connect by telnet. I found many software. So I select "Pie-VT100 emulator"

After installed, open its then add server name. A server can find on internet (example ; http://www.ng3k.com/misc/cluster.html)

Next connect to server. Display indicated for log in. Up to server display may difference.

Final type "help" for check command for using cluster. Example when I spot some station I type "DX callsign frequency comment" I can report spot to server.

Ballon lunch in Thailand

Three weekend ago a small group in Ham radio (TAMSAT- Thailand Amateur Satellite) lunch the balloon at Ayuthaya province. Balloon is a nickname "Ton nan nan" mean long delay lunch. It's fun.
Balloon is a project name "Multipurpose Stratosphere Balloon for Amateur Radio of Thailand" or "MSBAT" a balloon add a simplex repeater, APRS, camera and sstv. Before take off a SSTV was problem we do removed. Final can be take off to attitude around 29km (not sure). Next fight may be March.

Homemade AZ/EL Ratator controller.

I will design a AZ/EL rotator controoler to use for test communicate in moon bounce 。This design refer.../sv1bsx/actuator/actuator.html in first step.

This is design follow from web to pattern PCB. In actual I use universal PCB to make prototype. Then Pattern PCB evaluate from prototype.

In the box has a transformer. The transformer carrier out 4 Kind of voltage (33、24、12、and 6V）。　I use 33 and 24 to supplied the motor. And 12 DCV for supplied control board. Actuator need 33Vdc　to　supplied　and　Washer motor need 12Vdc to supplied.

The meter for indrcated portion of　antenna。I used 10mA meter and　modify　display　change the scale to AZ and EL degree meter.
Next step I modify actuator later.
